It is with deepest sorrow that I inform you of the untimely death of our brother and former Lafayette Firefighter /  Explorer, Anthony Francis.

Anthony Francis joined the Lafayette Fire Department Explorer Program to learn what it takes to be a firefighter. He worked at several stations but always returned to Station #2 where he worked many shifts with C crew. He liked the "action" at Station 2 and we treated him like part of our family.

His maturity earned him the opportunity to work closely with the Engineers and he often bunkered up to assist with firefighting and overhaul.

Anthony was an asset to our department and later moved to Texas but continued firefighting.

Gone, but not forgotten!
