Louisiana State University @ Eunice Prepare for LIFE after the Fire Service! 1. Enrollment is easy. No ACT to take. Enrollment is allowed until classes begin on January 16, 2001. A special waiver is granted to Fire Science students so that no ACT testing is necessary. 2. Lafayette offers a Tuition Assistance Program that will pay 50% upon successful completion of the course with at least a grade of C, and 50% two years after completing the course. That's 100% in my book! 3. Classes are usually 1 night a week. When the training center is operational I have been told that classes, via video teleconferencing, will be available here in Lafayette thus eliminating the drive to Eunice. 4. Plans for the near future include internet classes that could be taken from any location with an Internet connection.
