Chauvin Union619@cox.net Office / Since: President - September 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 Departmental Rank: Captain In 1997 I began to get involved with Union activities and decided that with the elections coming up in August I would run for an office to "get my feet wet". In 1999 I was unopposed for reelection and considered this an honorable endorsement. Today, Local # 619 has not changed it's focus of meeting the needs of our membership as well as the community. We have made strides in public awareness and support as well as advancing our profession through our involvement in the legislative process. We have never shied away from defending our members and benefits in Civil Service. I have enjoyed my time as President and find this to be the most demanding and rewarding period of my life. I look forward to continuing as President with the full support of our members.
